Founded in 2019, TITCHTECH started life as "driftstitch" — born out of a heavy involvement in the motorsport world of Drifting, covering both commentary and event organisation. Since then, the business has grown into a much wider corner of the automotive sector, which is why the name changed to reflect that.

Titch's journey started back in 2010, with a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Motorsport at college. From there, he set out to find work in the automotive world and landed a role with one of the South West's leading Japanese tuning companies, picking up real hands-on experience along the way.

That experience led to him managing South West Karting, a go-karting business, where he handled the day-to-day running of the site and kart maintenance. It was here he also started coaching young drivers on how to get round a circuit quickly including, so the story goes, a race against a young Lando Norris in 2015. One of them now drives for McLaren F1. The other is writing this page. You decide who came out on top!

Wanting to get back on the tools, Titch joined a local independent garage, building solid experience in a general automotive workshop and gaining his DVSA MOT tester's licence. That led to a role at a Volkswagen/Skoda dealership — a natural fit, given his long-standing interest in the VAG group. During his time there he made regular trips to the VW Training Centre in Milton Keynes and earned his IMI Accreditation. When the dealership stopped offering the challenge he was after, he moved to a local independent VAG specialist — a garage genuinely committed to keeping up with new technology and investing in the right equipment to do it properly.

Family commitments meant Titch had to step away from work for a period, but he never lost the drive to keep building his automotive knowledge. That drive eventually took him to one of the UK's leading Volkswagen conversion companies, starting part-time and growing into a full-time role as an electrical technician — fitting everything from consumer electronics to high-end audio systems, and carrying out coding and modifications, all while keeping vehicles under warranty.

From there, Titch spent time in the defence sector with Babcock International, where he qualified as a CAVA (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement) Assessor, taking Army/Royal Navy apprentices through their qualifications within REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers). It was a role that broadened his engineering experience while letting him carry on doing what he enjoys most — passing on knowledge to the next generation. He has since returned to the automotive world as a Vehicle Technician with VanMasters, where he works today.

Titch keeps himself busy across both the automotive and motorsport worlds. He's now a certified Automotive Assessor, having spent time teaching Further Education Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs — putting years of hands-on experience to use giving young people a genuine start in the industry.

He's the main commentator at Castle Combe Circuit Action Days, where you'll regularly hear him on the tannoy covering the drifting and running of the event. He also commentates for Fast Car Entertainment at events like Japfest, TRAX and Ford Fair — all held at Silverstone, the home of British Motorsport, in front of crowds of over 15,000. He's regularly on the mic alongside some of the scene's best-known commentators, including Ian Waddington, AdamC2046 and Sam Hard (hardupgarage).

In 2026, Titch directed and hosted a live action arena show at Silverstone for Gassed On Track — it went down so well that he's already been invited back. He's also shared commentary duties with International stunt driver Terry Grant and Monster Energy Athlete, Steve "Baggsy" Biagioni.

Titch is also part of the Garage500 Drift Team. While he's no longer a driver, he remains heavily involved behind the scenes — including organising the AUTOFEST UK / GARAGE500 Drift Cup, where he was the man behind the numbers: scoring, battles and awards, on top of commentating the whole event.
